Avoid This Costly Mistake with Fast Travel in Dune: Awakening

Message par Tonyshuangbai »

Fast travel might seem like a blessing in Dune: Awakening, but it's hiding a costly danger. Using Taxi NPCs while possessing an Ornithopter can cause you to lose the aircraft forever—a glitch that has caught many players off guard.

The issue arises when players enter cities like Arrakeen or Harko Village using their Ornithopter, but then attempt to leave via the Fast Travel NPC. The game currently contains a bug where this action can result in the permanent disappearance of your Ornithopter.

Instead, always exit through the main gate of any city. This triggers a confirmation box that allows safe re-entry to the Overland map without risking your valuable equipment.

This is especially important because the Ornithopter is not just a convenience—it’s a necessity. It allows you to move freely across the map, skip travel fees, and strategically choose entry points back into the Hagga Basin.

Given the high cost of fast travel (2,500 Solari per trip), relying solely on NPC taxis can bankrupt you over time. Combine that with the bug risk, and it becomes clear that understanding the proper travel mechanics is essential.

Until this bug is patched, the safest course of action is to avoid all Taxi NPCs once you own an Ornithopter—your wallet and progress will thank you. You can learn more about it now at https://www.u4gm.com.
